I apologize for the delay on chapter 57. I was ill and admitted to a hospital for about 5 days. I had a hard time catching up after that. The cleaning is done as of last night. We are working on the typesetting and a few translation issues. We will be releasing our version, even if it doesn't get uploaded on MangaFox, etc. We have a new editor, Piezhi, who is completely awesome. I think that the cleans look great and I'm really looking forward to the finished product. 

Bonus info: We have HQ raws for the special that was printed in LaLa DX and will be doing that at some point.

 Done! Finally! I was starting to feel like I'd never finish the dang thing. If only that "life" thing would stop getting in the way of my scanlating... I would have never finished if it weren't for choklit's help on the typesetting. We had to go through 3 translators to get it done, too! Azakurahime should be releasing 37 soon. We're going to see about picking up FTAK, but for now we're still focusing on KWMS. Anyway, here you go....

What a great response! I'm amazed that we were able to put together a team so quickly. So here's our current staff:

We're pretty much set, but I'm going to break down and see if we can find another cleaner. I need to be more realistic here!  I've had several people asking if they can help us with Kaichou wa Maid-sama. Thank you very much! Having some help would be fabulous.

Here's what I'm looking for:

- Proofreader:
English needs to be a first or very strong additional language. Knowledge of Japanese is a huge plus. Previous proofreading experience is also fabulous.
budbudbudaf - I got your message but couldn't respond because of your privacy settings. Send me an e-mail and we can talk. I'm pretty sure that you fit the bill.

- Typesetter:
You'll need Photoshop, any version, and you need to know how to work it. Attention to detail and willingness to work with me on adding in sound effects. Previous experience is preferable, but if you haven't done it before, we'll see about training you. 

- Quality Check:
Two main things here: major attention to detail and quick turn-around. 

Don't bother asking to be an editor/cleaner. That job is mine. Unless you have major experience and are totally awesome. Then I may consider splitting the work with you. ^_^

Everyone has to be willing to dedicate a large chunk of their life every month to get the chapter out as soon as possible with the highest quality possible. You have to be able to take constructive criticism without having a breakdown. You can't disappear on me without telling me what's going on, either! Communication is essential.

Please note that I'll be coordinating everything and I'm a stickler for quality, a bit of a control freak, and slightly egotistical. Just to let you know up front. ^_^ I swear that I will always treat group members with respect, though.

 Our "new" group, currently consists of myself as editor/typesetter, aiko as our generous translator, and yuu-chan as our lovely raw provider. Our name, Neko no Nyaa, literally means "the cat's meow", and I think we really are the cat's meow! (Forgive the arrogance. >_<)

We're looking forward to providing you with Kaichou wa Maid-sama goodness starting with Chapter 57, which will be released in Japan on January 24th. Please be patient while we get it scanlated. It takes me about an hour per page for cleaning and typesetting. Multiply that by about 30 and you can see that it's a big job! I generally lose a lot of sleep... but it is definitely worth it!
